This year, Ramadan begins on April 13 and we’re inviting you during the 30 days of Ramadan (April 13 to May 12) to learn about and pray for the Muslim world using this prayer booklet. Each day’s entry profiles a Muslim community around the world and invites us to pray for that community.
Ramadan is usually a social month filled with the pre-dawn suhoor and the evening iftar meals to break the day-time fast. These meals are opportunities to pray and share with friends and family. Many of our neighbors may be feeling especially lonely and isolated during this time as they are unable to mark Ramadan as they usually would with their loved ones. I invite you to use the 30 days of Ramadan to especially pray for and to get to know your Muslim neighbors and colleagues, some of whom may be immigrants to this country and this community. May this be a special opportunity to notice our neighbors, to hear their stories, and to extend Christian love and hospitality to them.
You can find out more about the 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World here.
Copies of the prayer booklet (one per household) will be available for you to pick up on Easter Sunday. A kids edition of the prayer booklet is also available for families.
