Dear friends
Hoorah for our first Sunday at Randolph Elementary! So grateful for all of you who showed up to unload, setup and worship together - and yay for zoom and the ability for those of us worshiping from home to join in as well! Amy's celebrating communion and doing the absolution were also glorious 'firsts'!
And so 2022 has begun. A few suggestions... tbh I'm not a huge fan on NY resolutions, but this can be a good time to start a new Bible reading plan. Some you could consider are:
Bible in a year with Nicky Gumbel - it comes as a daily email or podcast or app. I've been doing this every year for YEARS and it's still fresh and a good way to listen to the Bible as a regular diet.
Biblegateway also has a bunch of options for plans to choose
Another Bible in a Year option that Katie H is trying is this one: it is catholic, but that could give you refreshing new insights?
Kim recently recommended the HerBible app - unusually all the readings are done by women.
Also - last year at this time, Amy wrote a lovely letter inviting us to 'The Great Annual Examen' - another lovely opportunity to reflect.
What's your favorite Bible reading plan? Let us know and I'll add it to the list!
ALSO - have you signed up for a small group yet? We would love EVERYONE at Incarnation to be in a group - for reasons of community, accountability, personal spiritual growth and... they are FUN! There are groups on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, in the evenings and in the morning so there WILL be one to suit you! Sign up NOW!!!!
And in other news:
Nominations for Bishop: all are invited to prayerfully consider making a nomination to the DOMA committee of someone you think would be a good next Bishop for our Diocese.
Jan 23: after the service there will be a brief parish meeting and volunteer training
So looking forward to seeing you on Sunday at Randolph!
With love
~Liz
